XTX "should" be the 65nm rev. w/ 1GB Gddr4; maybe even the full HTPC capabilities the 2600's and 2400's posses. With the die shrink it'll run alot cooler and should allow for surburb clocking. Hopefully they'll also increase the stream core clocks as well like what Nvidia did w/ the 8800Ultra.
If the XTX ends up like this it will truely be the destroyer we've been looking for. Unfourtunantly it will be too late most likely. this XTX may be able to compete w/ nvidia's next line but not as it should. the 2900's were ment as compititon to the 8800's not 9800/8900.
I haven't heard anything about an "official" cancellation of the XTX, merely more delays. Which hopefully means that it will be this card I have described. OC'd, die-shrunk, and pumped up
Most importantly though! It needs good drivers! the XT as is now seems to be making stes up in performance every driver release. the drivers are "dirty", they need to be optimized. even Nvidia's 8800 drivers aren't great.
anyone have some solid info on Nvidia's next line of cards?
