AMD CEO Speaks Out Against Intel's "Illegal Tactics" - Page 7

I think its ture that intel has gone a little far by putting AMD so far down that they may not come back,But this has been going on for a long time intel ownes AMD and then AMD owned intel,if intel does kill off AMD then they will pay the price as the law states,But if they dont AMD may just come back and owne intel once more, and so goes the PC game.I when with AMD just becuase i have always had intel CPUs and i whanted somthing different,I dont thing that intel should have gone this far by taking up 80-90% of tha market.I mean a game is no fun when you hold all the cardes and player 2 cant even fight.I mean what is the piont of doing somthing new if you dont need to.

No company is in it as a game... they are in it for the MONEY! Also, if companies only brought out products because they wanted to I would be sending you this message by carrier pigeon...

Yea I agree. I for one am getting sick of all of this immature fanboyism. It's getting really old. People getting on these forums and throwing facts out the window, and just blinding spewing their opinion as fact.

This article is interesting, however I'm not convinced that Intel is a monopoly just yet. I guess they may be on the path though. I sure wouldn't want that.....no competition=high prices for good.

I'm an AMD guy.... and honestly, it sounds to me like he's just tired and frustrated with being 2nd. Even when they had better chips, people bought Intel because they had a larger budget to advertise on. I really don't remember AMD commercials, but i do remember the "Blue Man Group" Intel P4 Commercials.

I agree that Intel seemes to be working to become a monoply, but it kinda sounds to me like Ruiz just wants a leg up from the government....

As said competition is good and both companies are after our money. Intel isnt a monopoly as such however they do need to watch what they do.

I actually am praying that Nvidia will put there foot in the CPU door and put some hurt on Intel. Who out of us wouldnt buy a Nvidia Cpu (Ati Enthusiast don't count)
Compete!!!
At OCing sure at this time, but in the REAL WORLD, people see only the rated speed and there both on relatively level playing field in that respect!
GET REAL people, what we see and do is not the real world of retail!

To say "can't compete" is asking for flaming

Intels tactics will bite them in the butt sooner or later and so be it!
Frankly, I hope there alleged Conroe patch is a exposed for what the problem is!!!

Isn't it just the opposite? The low end chips are the ones that move in higher volume. The enthusiast chips aren't as in high demand as everyone thinks. When my mother, or my roomates go to buy a PC, they look for the best value, and those are almost always budget PCs.

we have no idea what goes on behind the closed doors at Dell, or larger corporations that do business with Intel and AMD. How can we say they're aren't unfair practices occurring? AMD wouldn't just make this accusation on hearsay, they obviously must have some form of evidence.

I'm rather confused about your last statement though, you think intel is working for a monopoly?
