xD Alright. It's just the potential from early reports is maddening.

It's one thing that Knitelife already hit like 4.0Ghz under 50c on his E6600... it's another that the E6750 is doing nearly the same thing on stock cooling.

The potential of Q6600's G0 Revision makes me want to cry because it's an entire month away.

By the way, the P35 Chipset is also proving to be worth the transition. Most of these extremely good clocks have been on Bearlake chipsets. And Asus at that... err... and I'm still sitting on Gigabyte Property.

I wonder what bandwidth the FSB can handle at even moderate overclocking levels with p35 boards. Such as 500 bus, or 2000 FSB.

I was able to get my Q6600 to 4.5Ghz (9X500mhz) with my DDR3 running at ~1600mhz. The bandwidth was nice, but not mind blowing by any means. The DDR3 still has a ways to go as far as latency is concerned. I will most likely purchase the P35 chipsets or the X38 chipsets if they are out by the end of July, but right now the added performance of DDR3 does not justify the double to triple price tag.

Same with me. But it might be all worth it to step up to DDR3 at the end of July just to get compatability with the beast of a board known as the X38. I'm dying for SLI and some killer bus speeds for the new processor. So why not just make the whole jump? Better to have lacking DDR3 memory and a completely topped out board CPU and graphics than to have good DDR2 memory and a restraint on the rest of the components.

Oh, I was just talking the new fsb limits set by the p35 boards that just came out. I also don't like ddr3 yet, I get 8000-9000MB/s bandwidth with my ddr2
