Uh well, first of all your components are not compatible. Give me a minute, I'll build you something...

EDIT:

Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813138026
The best AM2 motherboard for the money.

CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103046
The best AM2 processor... period.

PLUS

Ram: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231098
Excellent ram; wish I would've gotten it.

Those last two come together as a bundle on Newegg for $15 off, so get those!

There you go, with an aftermarket cooler you'll get that processor up above 2.5Ghz easily. If you're thinking about that 4600+ you initially had, there is no reason to get it. This 3600+ will perform on par with that at the same speeds, and all AMD chips top out around 3.0Ghz no matter the starting speed.

Oh yes, by quite a lot. You'll notice the dual core processor and DDR2 ram immediately.
