I think it's a faulty card.. you should ask your boss to buy a 7300GT or something, it should cost him almost nothing, and it performs much better than a 6200. (or a new 6200/RMA if money is really a problem..)

Money really is a problem... I was given a $200 cap to work with, and with that I had to get everything but the case, PSU, KB/mouse, and monitor... so that means $200 for the CPU, MB, CPU cooler, RAM, and GPU, and I re-used their HDD and added another for free that I had laying around. Unfortunately the CPU/MB combo I bought has an AGP slot, so I was forced to pay a little more for a little less with the GPU, and when push came to shove, the 6200 was the best for what I could afford... and when I made the buy I was hoping it could be flashed to a 6600GT, but I didn't know I was getting the 6200A (NV44A)... so an RMA might also be the answer, and maybe they can give me a small upgrade for free... who knows, they might not have anymore of these laying around in stock.

Yeah, you're telling me... and top of that, I'm really doing all this as a favor and not asking for money for my time, which has been a hell of a lot more than I wanted. And now, with GPU problems, all I get are complaints from my boss, only because she hears complaints from her son about the computer not being done... but granted its been a while... but then its still not gonna be done for a bit. Sucks for them, and sucks for me too. Sucks being the "nice guy" and doing favors. Still, the kid was trying to play games like Diablo 2 on a 500MHz CPU, 384mb RAM, and an old VooDoo3 16mb GPU... now he'll have a Celeron D 340 OC'd to 3.3GHz (maybe more), 1gb RAM in dual channel mode 2x512mb), and a GPU that, while it sucks, is still 10 times better than his last one... and when he has the money and desire, he can upgrade the card and the system will still be good to go for a bit. No "extreme" gaming for a bit, but a huge upgrade over his last system nonetheless! Oh yeah, and instead of a 13gb HDD that was pretty much maxed out, he now has that one as an extra drive for backup installs and whatever he wants, next to my 40gb drive to run his system and whatnot, which I gave them for free. And all that for $200... plus my free efforts. And all I get are complaints... go figure.

Ouch. Maybe you should overclock yours too. Make it last until you do get another.

Okay, sorry. It isn't a problem at the other forum I am at. They automatically merge double posts. Won't happen again.

Lol, I was wondering why my Graphics card was running so hot... the fan fell off. I don't even know why...

I know this is a double post, but I have a new question, and don't need to make a new thread.

Does anyone know how to Voltage mod this card? Maybe with a Pencil? If you do, please tell me. I cannot get my card to get over 450.00 because it artifacts and crashes.... Voltmodding it will fix this, right?

Edit: It's a NV44A
