Thread Starter
after trying to install ubuntu (it said that there was an error and it couldn't install) now my computer won't show my slave drive (the drive i was going to install it on) i was trying to partition it and it said it couldn't. now in windows it dosn't show my slave. if i look at the device manager, it shows up, and every where else it shows up except in "my computer"
does anyone know what i should do to fix this?

Have you tried going in to computer management and right clicking the black bar that represents the space on your drive and partitioning it within windows.

No there is not but you can extract the info you need from the drive before you format.

If it dosnt have a drive letter you have to assign it one. You do not have to delete the patition to do this. I forget exactly how to change it, but it is through the disk management portion of Windows. It will give yo an option of all of the available drive letters.
