I took it back to the retailer and they replaced it.

Again, this is actually my friend's problem. The problem was solved for a while and apparently it resurfaced again. It is not a heat issue, I monitored the temperature and that was fine. BFG just uses cheap RAM, avoid them I suppose. Hope this helps.

It started doing it again even after he had it replaced?

Apparently.

I personally have never seen that happen. It is very rare. I'd stay clear from BFG cards.

i think strictNPC is right it has something to do with bfg not using the additional power hookup, I just sent mine in for rma and they talked like it was most likely a problem with the card not gettting enough power, maybe plugging one of your 4 pin power cables into the one on the board for when its in sli mode would help give it additional power. I dont know never tried that and the card is one its way to bfg now so i cant try.

Get windows vista!!! Just got my shiny new replacement V-card from bfg did the exact same thing within 5 mins. decided to upgrade to windows vista went to wally world bought for $180 and the problem has vanished, i know its expensive but not as expensive as the v-card was,im sure you could steal a coa and dl a iso of the disc if you dont have the cash, but yeah I got dx10 and all that now and it works so sweet. C@C generals used to give me the white dotted lines within 5-10 mins. now i can leave demo start up screen running all night long and no flashing dots in morning. Obvilion runs at 25+ fps in intense situations with hdr light on, forced 8Xaa all settings maxed with the ini edited to load xtra grids, grass, trees and never gets the dots (so awesome)

Haha, I don't know if I want to deal with Vista or the white dotted line personally... they both suck.
