Your PC would just go a bit faster and you probably only see it in benchmarks and not in actual everyday handling.

Ofcourse!!!! If you have some extra money and your hand aches to spend them to make your PC a bit better and your able to sell your current mobo for a good price ... even if i said all these... this aching would make even me to update XD. Damn all those good looking PC parts.
200-400 MHZ no..

As I said, I was able to get 3.0Stable on the DS3 with the Quad. However, the P35 board allowed me to see 3.6ghz in no time. That's worth the trade-up.

It's probably not ideal for those outside of Core 2 Duo architecture, but like the poster above you, it's probably worth it.

=P And I'm not the one thinking about updating motherboards. I already got P35. I'm just bringing it up to maybe give those thinking of going E6750 over P35 an option toward performance.

Though either upgrade path doesn't guarantee better results.

600MHz worths it. Go for it. As long as you can sell your mobo which as it seems its a very good one then buy the one you want. But like you concluded it doesn't guarantee better results. PCs are weird entities. So unpredictable ... like w.. *looks around* hmm I better not complete my phrase.. lol.
