This crap doesn't seem legitimate to me at all as the author has a bit of a reputation for posting bogus and misleading information based purely on speculation. Fuad Abazovic
, who wrote this latest FUD article, wrote an article not too long ago cmlaiming that an "engineering sample" Phenom had been tested at 2.4Ghz, obviously his article was shortly discredited and removed from the hosting site. The idiot based that article on fake images posted on a computer forum.
In early May 2007, an article with author Fuad Abazovic was posted with a benchmark regarding the upcoming AMD Phenom X4 processor codenamed Agena for two SiSoftware Sandra benchmarks, the Integer x8 iSSSE3 and the Floating-Point x4 iSSE2 tests respectively. The benchmark results with the claimed new "stepping B0" processor reported earlier running 2.4 GHz, 1334 MHz bus showing about 45% to almost 100% advantage over the Intel Core 2 Quad QX6700 processor, claiming the processor was an engineering sample from AMD.
With a report from DailyTech shortly after, revealed that the processor lacked L3 cache which is the crucial part of the cache design of Phenom quad-core processors, and that a member of SweClockers.com forum named "2good4you" provided the screenshots to Fuad Abazovic through e-mail, and that convinced him that the results was authentic, including "stepping B0" Phenom processors.
