There will be most deffinately with out a doubt be monthly fees...and in my opinion I prefer it that way. Aside for FPS's (for the most part) it seems like the only way to get a decent game these days with most of the bugs fixed is to pay a monthly fee.

A MMO with no monthly fee is total crap.

This game and a game called Darkfall are the games I am sitting here im-patiently waiting for. I feel darkfall will be more fun to play but only if enough people decide to play it. I don't think Warhammer is going to have any troubles getting a decent sized player base.

heh as for the beta...I've been on the forums for several months before the beta even openned and I didn't get an invite either. I'll just have to wait for open beta

I disagree, Guildwars is an amazing MMO and there is no monthly payments. I refuse to play games where there is monthly fee. Its ridiculus, you go and buy the game, pay probably 60+ dollars a year to play it and if u pay all that money from playing it for 2 years, you still dont own it, you cant pick it up and play it again whenever u want, if i pay 200 dollars playing a game, i think i should actually "own" the game. Xboxlive is cheaper and u can play all your games on it.

Hah, darkfall, been waiting for that game FOREVER! I lost hope!

As for the beta, I've been signed up for about over a year and a half, but I also preordered it so when open beta comes out, I got my spot. This game will be like DAOC, pvp galore!

Ya, I signed up for the beta a year ago, still no invite. I know a couple of people that are in it but pretty sure they're still under a NDA.
