Audi's Arctic Silver 5 Mod: Thread-thin Application

Thought of this at work today: I got so tired of trying to apply thread-thin lines like the AS5 site says that I went Ghetto on the AS5 applicator! Before I did this I was getting 30c and 31c Idles on three different re-seats. It was pissing me off ROYALY.

Mechanical Pencil dethroned of it's head:


Mechanical Pencil Top on AS5 end. PERFECT FIT!:


Perfect Application:


28c Idle @ 1.31v:


I'm satisfied!

Note: You'll have to hold the cap down so that the pressure doesn't kick it off. After you've got it going, keep holding it and apply slowly. Works like a charm!

Super Glue would probably do nice. Only, you can't put the cap back on! Didn't figure that part out yet, lol.

I hate putting AS5 on because I can never get it 100% right and it turns into a 2 hour fight with me, AS5, and my heatsink.
