It was released with the Xbox, so of course newer games of the generation are going to look better, they will know better how to utilize the Xbox power.

You know, I can't, but I will say this -- Who honestly cares that much about graphics? Seriously. You play games to have fun. If you want pretty special effects, watch a damn movie. If graphics in video games are THAT important to you, I pray you don't call yourself a true gamer, for the sake of real gamers everywhere.

Halo 2 looked damn good when it came out... 3 years ago. Of course it doesn't look great now.

You don't like Halo, we get it. That doesn't make Killzone a better game and it doesn't mean Killzone 2's suddenly going to be a big hit.

well that's pretty ironic since one of the most hyped areas of those games were the graphics, which led people to state greatest game ever, which it was neither that good, nor pretty....(not saying you're one of those fanboys)

That's why Diablo, System Shock 2, Doom and so on will always be in my games collection. Awesome games never fade...

Well i loved the original Killzone though i know it doesn't compare to pc shooters like Call of Duty...yet it was an awesome experience compared to halo's sci fi setting. Also i agree it won't make or break Killzone 2, though i'm pretty sure they are doing everything they can to make it a cinematic experience since Sony is going all out for it....

Killzone is no Halo killer that is for sure. There a way more true Halo fans out there than any Killzone fans. Also it is not about graphics, if that is why sony thinks Killzone 2 is going to be a Halo killer.

I think it's stupid to call a game on Platform A the killer of a game on Platform B.

I've never played Killzone, but even if it does come out good, it's not going to stop people from buying Halo. Heck even I'm looking forward to Halo 3. I'll probably trade GoW in for it.

GoW is the best looking crap-fest ever created

Lol no back-draw ftw!

But OT: As a lot have said, Killzone was dubbed "the Halo killer" and after it was released I never heard anything about it ever again.

Orly?

Yarly.

I got a chuckle out of this thread, considering that Halo 3 is probably going to out sale the entire number of ps3's in circulation during 1 day.
