FPD2485W gateway monitor - Page 2

i'm not sure. more than likely its an old revision, because game or desktop, the banding is bad. No one ever buys these at circut city cuz they're so expensive so i'm sure this one of the first ones they got. I really hope gateway lets me trade this in, cuz if not, i'm getting something else and i really dont want to.

You could probably make CC take it back and exchange for the newest revision. Your scenario sounds right about it, as well.

I got my 24 on Ebay

ok well they're going to let me swap it out for a new one. Is there anything that I should look for on the box to make sure i get a newer revision?

I bought mine from CC. But how do yo check what revision you have? Just for my peace of mind. I havent encountered any problems with my GW24 yet.

I'll have to check when I get home. It's the serial, though.

Check Hardforums.

ok, i called gateway and ran my serial number and they said it was made in december of 2k6 lol. so, i ran the 2 other serial numbers in the back of the warehouse and they said one was made in february of this year, and then the other in march, so i'm going to take the march one and HOPEFULLY i wont run into this problem again. I really like this monitor, all my friends are jealous of it lol, but i cant have that color banding problem, especially since i play games.

well i'm selling this monitor. Someone recommend me a good 24" monitor. I was thinking about getting this one.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824001222

It's around the same price and it has good reviews, but if someone has a better alternative please recommend it to me.
