I noticed today, some major e-tailers have dropped their prices $25 over the last 24hrs on the q6600. I am hoping this is the beginning of the price starting to drop.

Yup, the Q6600 at Newegg is at $480. (I'm ordering my computer today!)

They dropped again! Just a week ago they came down to $480.

Watch them stay at ~$320 even after the price drop (The QX6700 was at $1,200 for the first month )

Lets hope not! If this is true, I will probably get a cheaper Core2. $300 was kind of my limit on cpu.
