You just joined this site-- don't get flagged so quickly.

We pre-ordered to secure. Nothing wrong with that.

maybe we'll just point and laugh at you when you need help when your mobo doesn't post at stock speeds and can't figure out what the problem is

::laughing back::

it's ok... you just didn't think about this as much as we did

hey guys, there is a report of a quick test at 400FSB x 6 for 2.4GHz performed by NCSA on a retail Quad... which could translate to 3.6GHz with the x9...

it is on the Hey SLACR, GO! Overclocking thread... it was on a DFI LP UT NF680I MoBo though which I know nothing about but must be a "special" 680i board, it definitely looks all business

I just realized something... will I need to update my BIOS for the G0 stepping? The board that I will be ordering from newegg is in my sig. This worries me, because I don't have another chip, so I wouldn't be able to update the BIOS. Hopefully I won't need to?

At the local IT Mall in BKK - Pantip Plaza, some reselers have these and others have the older release but in all cases not one one them new the difference or cared for that matter, really says something

It was a first few minute run just to see if it would boot, of course the higher the FSB the better. it is currently in the 965-S but apparently this MB does not support G0 CPUs so may have to move it to a new MB .. we will see ... Don't use AS5 on the Vapochill LS

The 680i have had some reasonable results elsewhere using QX CPUs with 400+ FSB, but that MB is currently on Air and maybe to go under an Igor water system so may try then.

Looks like others are doing very well on the P35 chipsets

400FSB x 9 = 3.6 WOOOOOOT

SO that is 400FSB on a 680i board?!? Is it modded? Then again that board looks mad serious.... I know nothing about it... but a $320 board with that good of stock NB and SB cooling has to be serious... please talk to me. I am a victim of the low Quad FSB bug in 680i boards
