Sure thing....

On another note, and related to your OP, since I am in the market to buy a new Mobo, today, and you metioned the P35s seem to be giving th ebest results with the Quads...any recommendations? I am partial to Asus, but have used Abit as well. Myabe I am lazy, because I've never gotten out of the A's.....are the Gigabyte offerings solid, or any others for that matter?

I know I can go read reviews and such (already have), but what is the anecdotal real world evidence? Thanks.

don't have any evidence yet, but as an update to my previous post, I decided to spend the extra bucks and go with the p5k. I actually went with the new p5k premium/WiFi that Egg posted last week. It is supposed to OC pretty well and I liked the fact that it actually stated Raid 5 and 10 from the southbridge in the manufactuers specs.

USlatin seems to be keeping up with all the latest developments pretty well, so his recommendation of P35 for the Quads helped seal the deal.

yea Pook... and there are many more here at OCN and hundreds elsewear... TankGuys alone had 270 pre-orders PRIOR to the 3.8GHz on air saga by Tiramisu!

tnkr111, I have heard nothing but good thngs from those very same manufacturers you r listing... ASUS being the most popular and now prooven by Tiramisu to take the Q6600 G0 to 3.8! but Abit has some serious bling to show off with some world records being attained on their's, and Gigabyte is revampint their operation and satisfying many seasoned OC'ers here and elsewear... they all have nice boards with the P35 northbridge...

I'd say go ASUS or ABIT just cause I didn't personally like the BIOS options on my DS3 but that was a lesser board and their flagships might offer more than what I saw...

Why not just copy-cat Tiramisu for safety?

Thanks for the comment Stringy, I have been trying to keep up, but I have to admit that I am reduced to Monkey See Monkey Do when compared to the senior members here...
