Hey SLACR, GO! (Q6600 G0 thread) - Page 34

well i let my 3.6 clock run overnight, failed 4 hours into it plus it reached temps of up to 78c!

I lowered the vCore obviously, and lowered the fsb to 380*9, to give myself a 3.4ghz overclock, im letting that run now while im at work.

Does anyone know what a safe place to keep the core temps maxed out at is? I'm thinking no more than 70 per core....

Guess that means that you may not have a good week.

Did you use Tiramisu's P5K settings?

OK, I am new to the forum and OverClocking. I bought the P35 Pro, G0 Q6600 from Tanks just like you did. Please let me know your settings in UGuru and BIOS once you start the OC process. I need good guidance.

MaddMaxx is the guru, we'll all be looking over to what he does for sure... and we'll all be glad to share and what not... Audi hasn't said if he'll go Abit though... he has two other good MoBos at home which might give him exactly what he is hoping for so he might not switch...

I'll be honest, I haven't read through this whole thread, I just kinda read the last few pages, but I noticed a lot of bashing of P965 boards. I agree that the early revisions of the P965 chipset my not be the best solution for the quad cores, but the later revisions designed to support quads can be quite good.

I'd put my Commando up against a 680i board any day of the week.

All in all, when it comes down to it... the most important factor is going to be CPU week.

If it won't clock, it just won't clock.
