99.9% probable unless you do the worst seating ever with boogers instead of AS,,, hehehh yea bro, fo' show!

I got 3.26 with 1.3875V so u juuuuust might have to give it a notch more Vcore but the temps will be totally controllable with decent ambient....

I'm not really considering lapping, i don;t have that kind of patience, plus its not my rig, haha, i think he;d even be happy with 3.0, i just thought i'd for the 800mhz on the ram and 3.2 is a nice number.

I'm guessing the tuniq should do the job well and do i need to set the fan on it at high? I just don;t want this thing to be crazy loud either, I know mine is plugged straight into the psu and runs at one speed and i can;t ehar a whisper out of it, and my core temps don;t go over 48 celcius, but my comp is ina chilly basement. So ideally should I be using a very low ammount of AS5? I remember someone had a method of putting a pencil cap in the tube, does it really need to be that thin?

If you can keep it at 1.3V you might get away with decent temps with the TT's fan on the inaudible rpm range with decent room temps.

I added some important info for those still shopping for MoBos on the first post...

the list of the FSB walls qith either a B3 or a G0.... anything attained with a B3 should be acheivable with a G0 so I just added it in there for the time being... for more on the subject go to this thread

Hmm, this thread is starting to die. Well I was hoping for more out of my Q6600, so kinda disappointed, not in the Q6600, just had high hopes. I understand that it is my mobo that is holding me back. It just sucks because this board is fairly new and I thought that it would last me a few years and I decided to buy it because of the Quad support. Add me to the list of those searching for another mobo. I just want to be able to transfer my Spirit coolers and not really put much more cash into a new board. I think that I can still get a good deal for my P5N32.

I've seen people that have done 4.0ghz with that mobo after doing the vcore pencil mod to them. Check out xtremesystems.org forums. Or was it the p5b, not totally sure?

not this board... but after doing the hard mod for GTL ref volta than yup you get full on Q6600 G0 power availability... but that voids the warranty...

it is a hard choice... I want to mod but it is cumbersome... I want to upgrade to the EVGA 680i for SLI and full G0 power but the X38's are around the corner... also 3.3GHz is not bad at all

I've got 350x9 = 3.15GHz at 1.325V with the stock cooler right now. Load temps on hottest core, 69*C. Ambient temps ~70*F.
