Lenovo probably bought the user computer part of IBM , i think IBM wanted to keep it's server part. Or maybe both would be too expensive... not sure.


Back on topic - they basically use these computers to fold anyways , its just instead of folding for the cure , its folding for that particle combination or solution to a super huge equation.

I am pretty sure they do not use windows on these monsters. I might be wrong if microsoft had a distro for large clusters of computers and super computers.
