My rig was also taking like 1 hour for each %. So I just stopped it and went back to the normal consoles. It's faster.

The only other console i have ever tried is the grraphical client, which was pumpin out 32seconds/frame because it isn't multi-threaded. Only used one of my cores

As you can see from the pic above my first WU is 500, 000 steps what ever that means.

However it is taking about 45 minutes for every (1%) which is 5000 steps.

I calculated that at this speed it will take 3.125 days to complete

Is this normal?

It has been running for 2 hours now and is only 3% through, with my Opty at 100% running at 2.6

That is not out of the question based on your system specs. Currently the AMD processors do not have the same performance SMP folding as the intel processors do, even at the same clock speeds. This is even more of an issue with WUs that require more L2 cache, which 2610 is one of them. You may be able to boost the number a bit more.

Ahh kk, i was thinking of upgrading this month if i can find the money to a E6300/G skill HZ and a mobo (maybe the P5N32) so i guess i can expect a stepupin speed after that.

Atleast i know it isn't running that slow. Thanks for the information all Rep +

For the $1 difference in price, go with the 6320 rather than the 6300. The 20 at the end means that it will have 4b L2 cache instead of 2mb. This may not affect a lot of programs, but it can make a big difference in folding.
