Blackberry Pearl vs T-Mobile Dash

Thread Starter
I am torn between these 2 phones. They both look great, they both have great functionality, but they use different operating systems. I have never used either of those operating systems, and in fact I have never used a smart phone before.

Which one would you choose?

I would go with The Pearl, The only downside I see with the Pearl is no video recording. It will play videos though, Comparison from Phone Scoop

After playing with both in the store, I got a Dash. I couldn't figure out how to type with the Pearl - it seemed that if you move your finger over the button just right, it would type the correct letter, but I had a really hard time typing.

The buttons on the dash are pretty small and close together, so it's still a little hard to type for my fat fingers. But my wife doesn't have that problem at all.

I really like Windows Mobile and there are so many apps you can get for it (free or otherwise). Plus it has a very familiar look and feel with Windows so the learning curve is pretty low. And Windows Mobile 6 is a free download from T-Mobile which added a couple of nice touches.

The Wing would have been my first choice if it wasn't for the price. I didn't want to spend $300 on a phone.

I do like how both options do more than the iPhone for a fraction of the cost...
