P5N32-E SLI 680i Quad Failure - Page 15

I am running teh q6600 at these settings but i stumped as to how to push it up to 3Ghz.

V Core 1.35
CPU VTT 1.35
Mem Voltage 2.0

I am running the system in my sig.. These figures are what i entered into the BIOS and not what is being reported by anything.

I am doing a 1250FSB and memory is Unlinked and running at 700Mhz.

I can't seem to get it above 1250 and stay stable.

What settings are whoever out of you guys that have the quad at 3Ghz running?

my guess is your vcore is dropping to an unstable level...check for actuall vcore in windows, under a cpu load. You'll probably find it around 1.26v or so...if your cpu has a higher VID, then you could just need more vcore.
you have a crappy B3 stepping...no go for OC'ing AFAIK. you want the G0 Stepping for OC'ing
post #146 of 199
you can get B3's to 3.2 on good air though Digikid...

oh... ok...

hey CLEP, I don't think I am going to bother modding the board... I am getting a measley 3.3GHz AND I had to go down to 2GB or RAM AND I could only get 4-4-4-12-2t 1000MHz out of my HZ (I got 4-4-4-12-1T 950 and 4-4-4-12-1T 1100 before) all because it is all screwy with the Quad... I am DONE with the 680i... I am going straight to X38 or possibly P5k Deluxe or somzing lik3 dat...

mhe... screw 'dis board... I am Ebayin' the crap out of it one day...

I am in the same boat... or should I say, jumping ship.... soon as the x38's are finalized and selling... i'll choose between that or the P35's. I think we're just kidding ourselves with this board.... need to raise hell and hurt a few sales to ASUS... course it's too popular, but every sale counts.

I'll be throwing mine out too as soon as X38 is out and is 100% confirmed to support SLI.
