Help - my 680i LT mobo will not stay on. - Page 2

Here this will make life easier on you, you shouldn't have to reset your cmos. Go into your BIOS general page and where it says floppy 3.5" 1.4mb change it to "disabled". Viola problem resolved.

He said his computer won't stay on very long. So that might not work. Give it a try anyways, if you can't then jump the bios.

Your boot priority list may be at fault as well, this problem sounds kinda like you have Flopy set as your first boot priority. Change that to your hard drive which you're operating windows on if thats the case.

Then it's probably because you have something either hooked up wrong.

2. the mobos defective.
3. your psu is supplying enough power.

What are your system specs?

Also since it read as a floppy error? Do you even have a floppy hooked up?

Alright since thats clarified.... try removing anything not necessary such as a cd-rom. dvd-rom, floppy, etc. Get those system specs on this thread too.
