Calling ALL Antec P180 Owners!

Ok so i'm thinking of purchasing the Antec P180 case and i have a question about the intake fans

Look where i highlighted Does that mount come with the case on the top

Ok ok another way of explaining it

That is a mounting bracket that comes with the case itself right? Is it already attached when you buy the case itself. Can you mount a 120mm fan in there?

And when the door is closed does the case actually intake air or is that what's written in the manual

Plz i'm purchasing my case tommorow so plz hurry up with the help

I bought one when it was JUST out. Mine came with three fans (the thick 120mm one in the center of the bottom chamber, and two thin 120mm fans in the back and top). Not sure if this changed since then.

Yes, you can remove that sliding bracked in the front of the top chamber and mount a fan there.

What I did was removing the thick fan in the bottom center, and put that as front intake. Unfortunately, you cannot mount a 120mm in the bottom chamber's front, so I zip-tied a 92mm fan there. Without the center fan in the bottom, cabling is quite a bit easier (no need to route hdd power cables up and then down again).

And yes, the case does take air in when closed. There are openings from top to bottom ... However, with the front door open, air intake is obviously better

Do you recommend me getting this case over the 900. I think so. Also do you have the black or the white version? I saw the black version in my hands and it was wicked. How's the noise of it? I'm doing a silent build so what's up with that. I already purchased the thermal foam and such.

I have this case and love it, but i wouldn't use it as a "silent" pc. Sure the OEM fans on it are adjustable, and on low setting the sound is not too loud, but I wouldn't call it silent by any means. With the three 120mm fans included with the case, plus an optional front intake fan, cpu cooler fan, GPU cooler fan, and PSU fan, it can add up to 7 or more fans.

I dunno i've read reviews and keep hearing about those three layer side pannals and such. I'm also going to be putting foam everywhere.

I just bought this case and got it in last night. I already swapped everything over. The upper mount you circled is included. It slides to the lest and unlocks so you can attach a 120mm fan and then slide it back on. Ther is also a set of clips for the removeable hard drive cage that slides in front of it which allows you to attach a 120mm fan. I tried both and ended up just removing the cage and using the mount your circled because I needed the room. The bottom one you circled (in front of the bottom hard drive cage) does not have a monut. It is exactly as shown. By the way I got my case from Frys on-line.

this case is awesome. if you are looking for a quiet case with good airflow then this case fits the bill. from the pics you posted, the mount in the top chamber does come with the case, but there is no mount in the lower chamber. however i still was able to mount a 10cm (100mm) fan down in the lower chamber. i just wedged it in between the open space right in front of the hard drive cage.
thank Chozart for that tip. i also removed the fan that sits right in front of the psu and set that on the top chamber with the 2 metal clips. wire management can be a little tricky but with some time and planning you can turn this into a masterpiece.

feel free to ask any questions... i can post some pics if needed

Great case! I have the P182 and i love it! I have the best airflow i can manage. Last night i removed the side panels and my temps dropped only 1-2C from a closed position. So i know its working the way it should.
