Btw i have a E6600 2.4ghz CPU

I will try the line method and let the HSF spread it seems like the easiest starting test.

What I gathered so far is that the line should be very thing, am I correct?
From Audi's AS5 tube mod, this is about how much you should apply.

Imagine your E6600 is in your motherboard's socket, you should apply from left to right, not up and down.

Wow thx so much. Man u guys are fast and efficent!

Kopi I am curious to how to applied the zalman grease? I know you have a brush and the grease is supposed to be very thin and runny. Did you do a thin line on the CPU and and thin line on the HSF or something?

Nope, I love it though. You completely cover the CPU, from corner to corner. I started by dunking the brush and starting in the center, going out from there to the corners. One dunk of the brush got me through the entire CPU so you shouldn't need much more. Do the same for heatsink, then put them together

I think you spread it on like a thin paint, over the entirety of the cpu IHS (is that what it's called?)
