Be curse my better part want a Multimedia PC in the Living room i now in the 5 GHz Club... if there is one ??

Been playing around some days with Peltier Elements - just try to get things stabilized - and of curse i put my QX6700 to a safe place when i play around... having a E6600 to play with.... put my wife want a HDTV PC in front off the 42" Plasma... and ok i agree with her... (better even if you don´t!!) but i have too give my E6600 to this Project -- no more testing?? oh i still got a old INTEL Pentium D 925 3.00GHz - i start play around to see hove the Temps show up with a Peltier Cooling... but there was no way to get it over 4.5GHz ... head flashback OK off with my special cooling project - and start fast test with "normal" Cooler (Thermaltake BIGone 120).... **** happens at my first try i get it to run stable with 4.6GHz about 6 Hours ago... so even if my wife sleeps alone this night i have too keep going! and now i got the first wanted result - 5.01GHz ~ ok it was not really with this Processor i was planing to get on the other site off the 5. mark .... but what the hell --- have had a fun night, and think i will get nice dream today

Oh the Photos make by Handy... it was not a stable solution i got.. 4.85 GHz Stable (wPrime M1024) - but like alway´s "nobody cares about it - the numbers counting!!"

The 5 GHz was with this Setup:

Intel Pentium D 925
OCZ PC2 9200 1GB Dual Kid FlexXLC 5-5-5-18
Abit IP35 Pro Mainboard
Asus Cooler from a Striker Extreme
akasa 450 silver based thermal compound
be quied Dark Power Pro 750 Watt PSU
Thermaltake BIG ONE 120 CPU Cooler

OS Windows Vista Ultimate (everything not needed close down )
VCore 1.67Volt
Idle Temp 47° Fahrenheit On Load .. fare too high

yes the CPU still living as nothing ever happen this night

Well cpuz screws up voltages so I doubt its on that voltage. Still I could be wrong, nice oc on that thing.

Not to many people have made it to 5ghz ecspecially with the c2d guys since it usually takes DI or LN2 to get there.

Edit: yeah hes got it listed at 1.67vcore

Yes CPU-Z don´t get the right Volts - the 1.67V is what uGuru (Abit tool) tells me - but i set it to 1.72 so i´m not 100% about that - think a Voltmeter show the real thing...

For all people how like numbers - here the link to the benchmark results on hwbot.org

http://hwbot.org/user.do?userId=9086

And there will come more, but just need time
