E6600 @ 1.6Ghz?? - Page 2

CoreTemp is a good one. So is Everest and Intel's TAT. Keep in mind though that none of these are 100% accurate, its all a ballpark, so take the readings with a grain of salt.

I tried to overclock, but nothing I change messes with the CPU speed. I modified the ram timings, set it to DDR2 1066.. I can't change the CPU FSB directly according to the bios. I'm not sure what else to do.. I read the guide though.

Nvidia monitor shows idle at 39c load 60-65c.. that's not too high is it?

For CPU temp you may want to download TAT and CoreTemp.

1.45vcore seems too much for 3.2Ghz. Comparing to the E6600 overclocks and vcore, there are many people with 3.5GHz with 1.4vcore.

I haven't played with the volts yet, its on optimal/auto.

I have TAT, and coretemp
TAT shows 33c idle 60c load
CoreTemp 33c load 64c load
NvidiaMonitor 39c idle 64c load

(The bios also shows 39c when i'm in it)
