wow really?
leaks with small zip ties as well? you sure its there that is leaking then?
might be those rubber O rings the EK barbs come with.

Because on my EK barbs, i got small zip ties that fit right in between the groovs, i use 2 pliers to tighten them to the max, one to pull the excess zip through, and one to push that little thing that holds the zipties together, the little knot thing.
So its a push and pull action.
Did 2 of those for each and im having no problems at all!
I even tested them my yanking and hitting the tubbing in that area...Lol.

Once those ties are flush on the tubes...its does really well.

yup i dont use the big zip ties for any barb sealing.
Those things dont create a "flush" seal because of that bigger knot thing they have. No matter how hard you push or pull.
So go for the smaller one, try again, use about 2 per barb, 3 if you really want it secure.

still looking
Here's one that cuts ties up to .19" wide, afraid they don't get any smaller though.
Trust me, I owned every size available including 1" when I worked for McDonald Douglas.

D3DAiM, use the small ties and line them up so they're under the barbs lip.

Hey, no problemo. 10 years ago these guns were made of stainless steel, only fit one
specific size tie and cost $50-150 each. The pro models still do.

dude... get Real, Metal, screw down clamps...

if you don't like how they look either tighten them down with the screw towards the back of the fitting...

OR

continue to deal with leaks...

(don't use the cheap vinyl tubing... so a cable tie was never even a half-assed option...)

When a zip tie is tightened under the barb lip it seals, period. When 2 ties are properly applied that seal becomes unbreachable without external force.

Metal worm-drives are designed for very high pressure automotive applications to solid wall tubing, not barbed fittings. Worm-drives fail for three reasons, improper application(barbed surfaces), under tightening or over tightening.
Most folks tighten these clamps till the tubing extrudes through the bands drive grooves, at that point failure is imminent.
