The Wait for Quad

Thread Starter
So I decided to save a little bit and wait for the Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 price to drop and buy on july 22. But I'd like to prepare the right mobo and cooler to OC this beast. Any suggestions???
I am an Intel noob, this will be my first intel build

Whats your budget for the rest of the stuff? Look for a P35 board... As for coolers...the Tuniq Tower is a favorite...Scythe Mine, Thermaltake Big Typhoon...

A budget to work with would really help.

Budget is around $1000, If possible, I'd like to stay less than $1000 :-) And I will be using the system as main gaming rig, some adobe photoshop, and MATLAB, labview, etc.

Should I just get the Scythe SCNJ-1100P 120mm Ninja for $7 dollars more?
EDIT: They also have the Open BOX Ninja for $20.

Do you have any parts at all, CD-Roms, DVD Roms, floppies, cables? Hard drives, perhaps?

If you have some of that stuff, you can shave a good amount of cost from your new rig. However, quad core for under 1100 with EVERYTHING is going to be pretty hard.
