I understand the heat that the 8800 create, but if you try this yet?



Mainly, all you do is remove the PCI brackets and place a fan in exhaust there. This helps me keep my temps under control.

i was ,buy my pci slots,2 of them,are controler knobs for gremin11,if not i would have a fan there,thanks for the quick replies tho
i have tryed this,will work better than taking the slots out and putting fan on inside,im just not to ambiexios,having disc's fused togather in my back,l4and l5 not looking forward on friday,next week

Its the way the 965P NB clocks itself..

default multiplier/selected multiplier x fsb = NB frequency..

9/9x400= 400Mhz x 9= 3.6ghz
9/8x400= 450Mhz x 8= 3.6ghz
9/9x300= 300Mhz x 9= 2.7ghz
9/8x300= 337Mhz x 8= 2.7ghz

I think the info on this is a sticky under the "INTEL CPU's" forum..
