In a few games such as World In Conflict, it would tell em in the games console that i was out of VRAM by about 50MB. But that was with 4xAA, turned it down to 2XAA, and was perfectly fine. I mean it was fine before, but 19fps is a little jumpy, that was with all other settings maxed by the way.

At the moment, I suggest you get a DX10 card. Eventually DX10 will be the mainstream. It'll take a while, but definitely happen. Getting a 8800GTS will be your best bet. The 320MB RAM doesn't meant too much. It still outperforms all the other cards (DX9) with 512MB RAM. But if it doesn't fit your budget, saving up a little to get an 8800GTS will be a better bang for the buck. Oh yeah, just because your board is a Crossfire board, it will not have problems with a Nvidia card. It just means you can't run Crossfire.

That's why I'm ordering mine as soon as I get my first paycheck after 4th of July vacation!!! eVGA Rocks by what I hear, nevermind thier step-up program. It kinda kills me to have the same exact card, manufacturer and all as so many other people, but what the hell, I will have it in an Antec 900 after all. Which is probably the most popular case around right now. I don't care about having something different- I just want the best bang for the buck.
