Wow, great guide! Very informative and in depth.

However when you say that you shouldn't put barbs in the suction line of the pump, do you mean that having a tline right before the pump (as a drain line) is a bad idea for flow and would be better placed elsewhere?

My pump happens to be the lowest point of my loop that's all, so in order to drain it would need to be somewhere close.

No you want your T-Line or res right before the pump...I need to clarify that part I guess...I'm talking about using 90 degree fittings and the like right at the pump in-let...
