Isn't it because it generally means looser timings with more sticks. If the game isn't utilizing all the memory, and the one that it is runs at looser timings, performance might be slightly lower. But games seem to eat ram lately, so I would assume 4GB would be better then 2GB anyways. It's why I'm about to order my 2nd set of Ballistix
