Please help with OC optimization

Hello,

I have my core 2 E6300 Oc'd to 3.0ghz on stock cooling, so far all is stable and temp is staying below 50 Deg C. I'm quite happy at 3.0ghz, even though it can be pushed further.

My fsb is at 427*7 and i'm running a 1:1 ratio memory is at 855mhz

Should i change my memory to ddr 667 instead of 800mhz? What would be the optimum in sync settings for my current OC?

Pci-e locked at 100

Core 2 E6300@ 3.0Ghz, 1.45V
Asus P5K
Kingston 1gb ddr2 800 (single stick) rated at 1.8v <<< i changed it to 1.9v
Antec trupower trio 550W psu 3x 18A~12v
The rest of the specs are irrelevant to this topic

Thanks for your assistance, it is appreciated.

Firstly, does your CPU need that much voltage to be stable? 1.45 is a lot for that speed. Now I realize you may have gotten a different CPU than mine but I was able to make 3.2ghz at 1.29v.

If you haven't already, try lowering and testing with orthos.

Also, head on over to the user CP and fill in your system specs

No can do... it won't boot into OS if i go that low. Anything below 1.425v will crash Orthos within 5 min. BTW I've settled for 430*7, it's stable but would still like to know if this is an optimal 'in sync' OC, I'm open to suggestions.
