You're all going off topic. I think a Mod might have to sweep some of these posts up.

NObody cares if you dislike Apple hardware.

I agree, I don't think I could justify that. However, in a few years when I'm heading off to college, I'll definatly consider a MacBook. They're stylish, have decent battery life, I could run OSx, Linux, and Windows for versatility. Performance is very nice, too. Student discount get it down to $1000, which is very reasonable, especially with sale of my desktop factored in.

Yeah, the MB is awesome. I would have bought one of those except I wanted something I could bring home and game on. It's awesome to LAN with.

It doesn't look to bad, OS X is kinda ugly - but it's really the hardware that makes the machine. I really don't see what there is to dislike besides the name of the manufacturer.

By "for college," i mean:

The OS does not generally play games, and the software is oriented toward productivity. Easy-to-use, great software. windows is very bare upon installation.

Its only "ugly" because its still using a 7yr old design! But for a 7yr old design, it looks amazing. 10.5 will be epic beyond belief though!
