sold my e6300 looking for upgrade..

i sold my e6300 and board which was a low end board and never let me cross 2.6ghz.. now i have two options locally which are

e6600 and x2 5200+

which will be good in games and overall performance? and i'll keeping the same ram and i have Big typhoon lapped and fm121.. suggestions needed =)

E6600 FTW.

If you are keeping it stock, the AMD might pull ahead in some games and apps, but if you are OCing, the E6600 dominates.

e6600 even if you aren't overclocking.

i would only get the x2 for budget building.

E6600. buy it on or after july 22, the prices will have dropped and it should be around 180$ instead of the current 222$. Maybe you can even get a Q6600 for 266$.

i am planning to buy asus p5b series (because they are the only available locally) can somebody tell me if they are good to go and what are the difference between p5b and p5b-deluxe???

and with the same ram e6600 and p5b-d how far can i go on air with lapped bt and high speed fan on it and also ventilated case =)
please some one with p5b e6600 and 667mhz report his highest OC i'll be so thankfull and rep+ all ^^^

Not sure on the board, but with that ram i recommend getting a E6300

It will be alot more forgiving with the RAM because of the higher multi.

But if you plan on upgrading your RAM in the future the E6600 is a great choice.

EDIT: I'm going out on a limb here because i am not sure, but i think the only difference is the deluxe has a heat pipe. Like i said, this is from memory and a very vague one at that

oh whatttttt i just sold my e6300 yesterday along with crappy board and was happy i am going to buy better pro and mobo.. and its multiplier aint higher its 266 x 7 is it higher? what to do now i am feared with the previous reply
