Something comparable to WoW? - Page 2

archlord. Very fun game eveyone dosent like it because beta was very very bad, they have greatly improved its the ORC HUMAN NIGHTELF kinda thing choose a race and class. not cartonney toons or anything like that and its free and decent size, no load screens but in the start. i play it and like it very guild based you learn the names of people and get to know em its who you know can come and help ( guilds will help if you need it) and so on.

My Favorite MMO is and always will be Dark Aage of Camelot

It has realllly good Player vs Environment, with 3 worlds to choose from, each with its own classes and subclass structurers, and they face the 3 realms against eachother in realm vs realm, for some of the BEST PVP known to man

i highly suggest that game, because no matter what lvl you are, your going to have fun in that game for sure!

Guild Wars - Buy all three campaigns and you'll be set for months! If you can't get/afford all three, then just pick up the Nightfall campaign. Heroes prove to be very beneficial just in case you do decide to pick up the other two (which you eventually would ).

Lord of the Rings Online - Haven't played it yet, but I've been hearing some great things.

Archlord and Lineage are supposedly good as well. Or, if you have some patience, wait for the release of Warhammer. I, personally, cannot wait to start playing!

Yep, thats the MMO I am playing now. Its a blast. Make sure to play on the Nagefen server (PvP)...the PvP is intense and everything is very fast paced.

EDIT: I saw some people saying things like DAOC above. Don't right now. It WAS a great game. However, at this point, the community can't support the game anymore. I have tried going back multiple times because that game had one of the best PvP systems ever...but PvP is lame now. Very very sad.

As far as Lineage 2, don't play that either unless you want to be playing with a community of farmers. It also takes WAY too long to do anything in that game.

Guild Wars isn't truly an MMO. It does not have the huge world thing I think you're looking for.

LOTRO-Haven't played it. Looked cool. But there is no real PvP, which makes the game a big NO for me. I heard it is good fun though, but it doesn't have anything new, so for any vet MMO player, it will get old quick.

Vanguard-I have heard some good and bad stuff about this. Also one of the few MMOs I have not played (because I couldn't care less about it to be honest) but it is also very hard to level up in this game.

To be truly honest, if you were having fun with WoW, and you enjoyed the PvP, EQ2 will blow you away. Just be sure not to get discouraged after getting ganked second you hit 10. All the way from 10-30ish there are a lot of heavily beefed out chars whos only purpose was to PvP at the lower levels. I have been playing it for a little over a month now, and I have had a ton of fun.

GL.

I have two 70's. One that raided (my lock), and one that was going to replace the lock (my rogue). Couple days after the rogue hit 70, my friend got bored and wanted to move onto somthing new, so I shrugged it off and moved on
