Yep, thats the MMO I am playing now. Its a blast. Make sure to play on the Nagefen server (PvP)...the PvP is intense and everything is very fast paced.
EDIT: I saw some people saying things like DAOC above. Don't right now. It WAS a great game. However, at this point, the community can't support the game anymore. I have tried going back multiple times because that game had one of the best PvP systems ever...but PvP is lame now. Very very sad.
As far as Lineage 2, don't play that either unless you want to be playing with a community of farmers. It also takes WAY too long to do anything in that game.
Guild Wars isn't truly an MMO. It does not have the huge world thing I think you're looking for.
LOTRO-Haven't played it. Looked cool. But there is no real PvP, which makes the game a big NO for me. I heard it is good fun though, but it doesn't have anything new, so for any vet MMO player, it will get old quick.
Vanguard-I have heard some good and bad stuff about this. Also one of the few MMOs I have not played (because I couldn't care less about it to be honest) but it is also very hard to level up in this game.
To be truly honest, if you were having fun with WoW, and you enjoyed the PvP, EQ2 will blow you away. Just be sure not to get discouraged after getting ganked second you hit 10. All the way from 10-30ish there are a lot of heavily beefed out chars whos only purpose was to PvP at the lower levels. I have been playing it for a little over a month now, and I have had a ton of fun.

I have two 70's. One that raided (my lock), and one that was going to replace the lock (my rogue). Couple days after the rogue hit 70, my friend got bored and wanted to move onto somthing new, so I shrugged it off and moved on
