need partition magic help

i am a complete n00b when it come to partition magic. and i know alot of people on here use it alot. i need help for basically everything. i am creating a new partition so i can install vista and keep xp. when i am making the new partition it asks if i want it to be a logical drive or a primary drive... which one do i choose? and which file system is correct for vista?

sorry about the nubbish questions but i just dont want to mess anything up. i will have more questions along the way. all help is appreciated and good help gets a +rep

i think i might have to choose primary because it says i can have up to four primary drives... and wouldnt primary be for an OS?

primary is the one you want for an operating system, and NTFS is what you want to use for vista

good, and what about file system type? it recommends ntfs, but i dont know if that is right for vista

okay so now i have all the things set to 130gb for vista and 108gb for xp. it is drive letter H. and is using NTFS... is that all okay?

probably vista... im keeping xp as an option in case something goes wrong with vista
