My first intel overclock

I have what you see below on a water cooling setup. What would be a good first overclock to get a good idea of the potential of this processor?
I would like to stay at stock, or close to stock volts.

I've let all the power saving features on (enabled) so that my CPU even overclocked will consume less energy and therefore the frequency will change from 2.0GHZ to the full 3.0GHZ when needed/full load.

***NOTE***: That's with the 0711 BIOS, but with the 1004 I am able to push to 350fsb easy. With the 0711 it wasn't stable.
So, my CPU is now running idle at 2.10ghz and when it needs to run at full speed, it does 3.15ghz.

I used to use a 2:3 ratio but now I'm using a 4:5 ratio which comes up to DDR2 835mhz. I'm not sure which G.Skills you have but if you don't have the HZs, for timings I'd suggest 4-4-4-12-6-35-10-10-10-10-10.

Also, lock the PCI-Express to 101 and the PCI clock to 33.33mhz, everything else set to auto.

ok, i will try to put in exactly what you just put down. If it fails to boot, can i reset cmos in bios by going to restart with default settings?

i would suggest disabling speedstep/C1E and enable multi.

also set pci to 33.3 and pci-e to 100 mghz.... (i have mine at 110 mgz.)

also, you can up the ram voltage to 2.0, or 2.1.....for a more stable overclock, manual settings are the way to go.

with your config and ram, you should easilly get 3.5- 3.6 ghz, your on water, so heat shouldnt be an option...... your specs are close to mine.

if your interested, i can give you my settings for 3.52 ghz..... ;-)
