noob with stock hp, dial-up

Thread Starter
whats up, i'm aaron, I have a stock hp a1610n w/ aftermarket graphics 6200LE, dual core 2.2ghz, and 2- 512mb dual channel hp ram sticks. So ya, no need putting a water-cooling block on my dial-up modem. I just got into computers in general, along with over-clocking, and custom building.
So far, just the graphics card, (which i can't overclock) but am learning a lot more, and i'll prob. b on here a lot. pics to come soon. thanks, peace.

Welcome to the forums.

Also on a side-note try cleaning up your posts a bit, people get agitated and its somewhat mandatory to use correct spelling/punctuation/grammar (I could be wrong on this, I just remember seeing a thread from one of the directors on it?)

No need for pics. Please

6200LE is onboard GPU not an actual card (or is it?)

Anyway enjoy.

Lucky - welcome to OCN.
Unfortunately the only way to overclock an HP is using clockgen, and it is not recommended or very stable.
Your video card on the other hand, should be able to be overclocked.
What brand is it?

I have an onboard 6150LE, and upgraded to the PNY 6200 PCi express. But I just updated the drivers for it, and so far got 370/250mhz from 350/250 for 15 mins. using ATITool. going to push for more once i get this 120mm fan in. Anyway, thanks for the welcome, and as for the punctuation, i'll work on it.

One question... why upgrade from onboard to a 6200LE? lol...

There are quite a few REAL cheap cards that do better than that.
