Amd X2 6000+ - Page 2

I was gonna get a x6000 but i had a previos 775 platform and decided that it would be cheaper to build on it....personally it is at par with the e6600 performance wise but is about 10% slower at gaming...i would recommend the asus crosshair for the motherboard...

I'd wait until July 22nd when Intel will be cutting its prices.

Will you be OC'ing this CPU at all?

Yes, thanks for the info. I will be waiting till july 22 for the price cuts or AMD's Barcelona.

As I am fairly new to the whole overclocking thing, I don't plan on breaking any records but yes, I am planning to OC.

Wow, newsflash Intervention. Hell the 3600+ can be OCed to easily beat the 6000+ as well.

Getting a little tired of the one sided illogical thoughts.

The only logical thought is that Intel core2 chips stock for stock with AMD compare fairly well price wise up to the E6600, after that, it's all intel. OCing... intel wins. They OC higher AND are faster clock for clock. For OCing, buy Intel end of story. In essence I agree with you Intervention but your logic really sucks.

How does my logic suck?

He says there is NO limit to the amount of money he has to spend. He is looking for moderate OC's. If money is no object, and supreme performance is wanted, it is ill logic to buy an AMD as of right now.

How isnt any OC'ed C2D better than a 6000+? I'm not getting how that thought was ill-logical or one sided?
