Summer Project...

Okay. The following is what I plan on buying over the summer. (good thing I have a job) Anyways, if you see a way for me to cut corners, or see a problem, please point it out.
I will be getting all of this at the end of the summer. If I get more money than that, I will maybe upgrade to a 8800, and perhaps even water cooling...
This adds up to about $450.00 USD. That is about my limit for the summer.

Unfortionally, I could not afford something more expensive than a Presler. If the price drops by the time I start buying the stuff, then yes, I will get those.

This card for the same price as the 8600GTS after the rebate will outperform the 8600, great card and you get more bang for your buck.

Ya, he will get more bang for his buck with the 1950 but gotta ask what he intends to use the computer for.

If you are a gamer or plan on using XP yes go with the 1950, best in your price range. If you are getting vista go with the 8600 for the DX10
