Just go with an 8600GTS, they're around same price and they have DX10. Should perform the same as the 7900 series.

im waiting for the prices of the cards to drop...because im also saving to get a new guitar and im only 16 so i dont make too much money..about 300 a month during the school year...(taylor t5 custom....$2300 dream)

I upgraded from my 6600gt to a 7900GTO and the difference is huge.

However if you don't game alot then i don't recommend paying that much for a card.

A 6600gt is more than enough for the avid gamer

ALOT!. I went for 6600GT to a 7900GS KO

Lets just say every game you play will be 80% faster. I got 1,800 in 3dmark06 with my 6600GT to 5200 with my 7900GS

Yup as stated before the only card to buy to help in this case is to fold... and the only choices there are the ATI X1800 and X19XX cards.
