New UBUNTU rig

post #1 of 3
Thread Starter
Hello all,

I just put together a new rig (not the one in my sig) out of spare parts from my basement and a buddy. I loaded up UBUNTU in order to learn and have fun.

Do you all have reccomendations for;
1. Benchmarking software that will run smoothly on UBUNTU for OC'ing, and
2. Any general recomendations for software for learning UBUNTU?

Any comments or ideas appreciated!

Rig
A8N32-SLI
AMD 3700+
2 Gigs Value Ram
Some sort of 5000 series NVIDA GPU
other odds and ends

Thanks

a) Ubuntu isn't an acronym, no need to capitalize it.
b) Frankly, there isn't that much to learn. Ubuntu is very simple.
c) You'll want lm-sensors, to begin with.

Pretty much sums it up, Ubuntu is very easy to learn how to use and manage because that is what it is made to do, be able to be used by everyone.
