Stick with the P5K-Deluxe motherboard: See Link Here. And it's $25 less.

DDR3 is very expensive right now and the performance difference between DDR2 and DDR3 is non existent. Buy the less expensive DDR2.

Where is the Quality Vendor List for the ASUS P5K3? I wanted to check to see if they had tested the Crucial stick on it. I'm sure someone has them on it..

Yea that's what getting, from your recommendation and my follow up reading reviews on it. Superb input.
I wouldn't spend that much cash on DDR3 even if I was rich. It doesn't give any more bandwidth, and ATM the only advantage I can see is that laptops can run higher frequencies while consuming less power, due to the lower operational voltage.
