How do you set-up 3 monitors?

I have an ATI X1950xt Video Card, and it only has two DVI ports. How would you set-up 3 monitors?
use only one DVI port with a DVI>VGA converter and then plug it into a matrox tripplehead2go. make sure your card supports (3*1280)x1024 though.

i dont want one screen to go over three monitors, i want three different applications on those three monitors, would i still use the matrox tripplehead2go?

then you should get a second GFXcard. or a dualhead2go (2560x1024) and a single mainscreen.

You can run three differany apps on the three screens, You just wont have three desktop's/desktop bars. It will be an extended screen where you can have three or more apps on each screen. Thats how I normally do it, but then again i don't do it that often.

normally even multiple GPUs (to my knowledge) only allow for 2 screens. but someone posted something a while back that could controll more than that. cant really remember, but i think it was in the Nvidia section. (SLI allows for only 1 screen, or so ive been told)

If he needed 3 monitors he could disable crossfire when he needs 3monitors and enable it for games? I'm not sure. I know sli can do that

SLI can run 2 screens, but you need special drivers. Your best option is to get a second card.
