Intel G33 chipset conflict with Linux & OSX86?

Just wondering if anyone else is having problems. I believe I have narrowed down the problem to the new G33 chipset (mATX GFX ingegrated P35 equivalent)... I just upgraded my system from a P4 setup and was tribooting 2k3/Ubuntu/OSX. After installing the new stuff, I wasn't able to boot in to anything but Windows. Both nix and osx86 were hanging at a mounting root file system type of error. At that point I was like "no big deal, i'll just format both partitions and reinstall with the new hardware config".

Well, when I finally got around to that, both OS's were giving me the same problem. I can't even get the Ubuntu live cd to boot up without it hanging on "Mounting root file system", and OSX86 install times out when trying to access the root file system. Sounding like it might be a chipset/SATA driver problem?

Anyone else running in to any problems like these on the newest Intel chipsets?

Cheers.

It does sound like a chip set problem, at least to me it does, along with that new south bridge. I'm pretty sure that Ubuntu feisty has support for that chip set, I recommend you DL and try it. It should work .
