Because it's good. That's what happens when a good game is made. Except for WoW. It's popular because is brainwashes people into thinking its good. Watch the Pokemon episode of South Park if you don't understand.

I"ve had the same problem a couple of times, even after the multi-reinstall. Can't explain it. EA server issue maybe?

I have this error too and I don`t think it`s about unstable clock. Mine is stable

It's because EA produces crap code. I have never played a buggier game than BF2. I like it, when it plays.

Nope, it's definitely not a server issue. It is an error loading the map on your PC. When you did the complete uninstall, did you manually verify that the registry, directories, and profiles were deleted?

Do you have the game on DVD or from EA Link? If EA Link, try clearing its cache and redownloading.

Fortunately it's only happened once prior to the uninstall and twice after... seemed to clear up after a few minutes so I'm not tearing what little hair I have out.

Thnaks for the advice, tho. Maybe it'll help someone else out.

Cheers!

Personally, I think it has something to do with XFire (or other background applications). Both times it initially happened to me, I was loading a map, it froze, then gave the Memory error. The most recent time, I saw the corner popup from XFire chat messages for an instant before it froze and crashed.

Just a headsup on my opinion

Use to happen to me... and I don't have TS, Vent, or XFire.
