I just picked up a brand new laptop today pre-loaded with Vista home premium and so far I absolutely love it. This is literally the first time I've ever seen Vista in person, partly due to all of the naysaying that I've heard going on I've held off from putting it onto my desktop system. Honestly I don't really know what everyone is crying about...
I've spent the whole evening going through and getting acclimated to it, and IMO everything is much better looking, much more intuitive, and just overall better than XP... people are expecting the operational smoothness of OSX with the broad variety of applications available for windows, all rolled into one gold plated burrito. Then when they can't have their cake and eat it too they get pissed at MS?
Of couse there are going to be hiccups and incompatibilities... heck it hasn't been out barely half a year!
