I'm now thinking of getting:

-4x1GB of DDR3-1333 Memory ($700)
-Intel Dual Core Penryn Processor ($500)
-Intel Bad Axe DX38BT Motherboard ($300)

The Ram will probably be G. Skill, the Processor will be equvilant to an E6600 (Mid-Ranged, but EE), and the Bad Axe 3 will be the best X38 motherboard because it's in the Bad Axe lineup (very stable, very effecient) and it's an Intel. Hopefully price drops will happen between Launch and Q1'08, so that the prices at e-Tailers drops down to the MSRP and not 50% above.

Highly-Annonyed:

I will not keep on upgrading; for example from a Dual Core to a Quad, however, I will upgrade. I will not replace products I will simiply add to my system. Like I will go from 2GB of Ram to 4, and from one 300GB Hard Drive to Raid-0. For this build, I will keep everything the same for at least a year. Maybe I will upgrade to DirectX 10 and Vista went SP1 and the 9-Series is out.

Yeah, I jumped at the new chipsets and got a P35 based board. Good thing I can take a Penryn...

Nice name, by the way. Might want to get that changed by Admin.

Anyway, I like the abilities and features of the X38 Chipset. I am also hoping for cheaper DDR3-1333 Ram (hopefully $200-$250 a kit from a good company) so I can spend more money on my Processor (I'm hoping all of them have 6MB of L2 Cache per Dye, though).
